Dear SHIFT members,
Last week on the 30th of April all present members at the GA unanimously voted for the proposed new board consisting of:
Rud Hansen - Chair
Varnika Gangavalli - Treasurer and Career coordinator
Claire Ferris - Secretary
Tobias Meijer - Education coordinator
Steven Benhamouche - Events coordinator

As board we wish to nurture and keep an active IE community by empowering and enabling students to take initiative and contribute to the community. We primarily aim to do this through a bottom-up approach, therefore any member is welcome to share their idea or vision with us!
Furthermore, the board will will be working based on three pillars which form the foundation of the IE community which SHIFT aims to nourish:
The Educational Pillar - Inspire, motivate and support students.
Cross fertilisation of inspiration among students which extends to outside the classroom, and motivate and support students to successfully extend their knowledge and finish their education.
The Social Pillar - Strengthen the IE community.
Strengthen the IE community by creating a sense of connection, support, and inclusion amongst IE students from all years. Achieving this through fun, inspiring and cultural events focussing on community belonging and wellbeing.
The Professional Pillar - Prepare students for their career.
Bridging the professional world and IE students, while raising awareness of what IE is and what its graduates can offer. Also, preparing students for the job market and equip them with the right skills, information and confidence in their potential to make the world a better place.
Feel free to already reach out to any member of the board concerning what you'd SHIFT to work on in the upcoming year! Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of you upcoming Friday at the Mooie Boules Bash activity organised by our events committee!
Regards,
SHIFT Board XVII
